Cheetah chases madly determined to retrieve its prey from the sharp claws of the vulture scavenging
Vultures are a group of scavengers distributed mainly in the tropics and subtropics. Many species have bald heads to avoid bloodstained feathers when poking their heads into the carcass of their prey.
Some species have exceptionally strong beaks that can tear skin, flesh, and even break bones. Vultures possess good eyesight and can survive for long periods of time without food.
A video captures a scene when a cheetah kills an antelope and enjoys a meal when it is attacked by vultures.
Specifically, the cheetah is eating the prey it has just hunted, it looks around to see if there are any scavengers.
Moments later, however, the vultures arrived in large numbers, Heasman said. Each time the cheetah bent down to nibble, the vulture inched closer, almost encircling it.
After several attempts to chase away the harassers, the leopard gave up. It leaves, leaving the antelope carcass for the vulture.
Seconds later, chaos ensued. The vultures scattered in panic, leaving Heasman feeling confused. However, he quickly understood when he saw a young male lion.
It chased the vultures and took the antelope carcass. The latter dragged the antelope carcass into the bushes, and began to enjoy it.
